Nominations Being Accepted for UMSL Sports Hall of Fame

The University of Missouri-St. Louis Department of Athletics is now accepting nominations for inductees to the UMSL Sports Hall of Fame. Individuals can be nominated in one of three categories: student-athlete, coach, or distinguished services. Anyone can nominate those deemed worthy of induction before the nomination deadline on Friday, October 1.

The UMSL Sports Hall of Fame began in 2001 in a joint effort by the Alumni and Constituent Relations Department and the Athletic Department. There were with 12 inaugural members in the first class in 2001, and it now includes a total of 51 individual inductees and two team inductions.

This year's induction ceremony will take place Friday, February 19, 2010 on the UMSL campus as part of a Hall of Fame weekend that will also include home men’s and women's basketball games on February 18 and 20. More information and specific details on the ceremony will be released later.
