WICHITA, KAN. – Sophomore Jordan Bruce found the back of the net in the 18th minute, helping the University of Missouri-St. Louis men’s soccer team to a 1-0 victory at Newman University Thursday afternoon in the season opener for both teams.

Coming off its first Great Lakes Valley Conference Tournament appearance in four years, the University of Missouri-St. Louis men's soccer team is looking to pick up where they left off in 2009.

While many senior standouts graduated from that 9-7-2 squad, a core of quality returnees, along with several talented newcomers, should help make for a smooth transition and allow the Tritons to build off of last year's successes.

INDIANAPOLIS, IND. - The University of Missouri-St. Louis men's soccer team has been picked to finish ninth in the Great Lakes Valley Conference preseason poll, as announced today by the league office.
