UMSL Softball Field

The UMSL softball facility is a marvelous venue for an NCAA Division II school. The overall facility is second to none, from the field itself to the accommodations for athletes and fans.

The Tritons began play at the UMSL Softball Field on March 16, 1999, defeating Bemidji State, 8-0, in the inaugural game on the field.

The $500,000 modern softball facility is fan friendly. It features ample parking, concessions, restrooms and seating for 500 spectators. The newest addition to the facility is a large, wooden gazebo for cookouts and gatherings, which was added prior to the 2001 season. The facility also features an enclosed press box with a modern sound system and scoreboard controls. The field includes dugouts for each team, storage facility for equipment, outdoor batting cages for players and an infield tarp to protect against inclement weather.

The softball field is used primarily by the UMSL student recreation department for intramural competition and campus softball outings. The field is also available for rental usage by youth leagues for camps, clinics and games.
