STUDENT-ATHLETE (Men's Soccer)
Dan Muesenfechter played two seasons at UMSL and led the men’s soccer team in goals scored in each of those two years. He was a two-time All-American selection in both 1979 and 1980, and both years at UMSL he helped lead the team to the NCAA Tournament, reaching the quarterfinals in 1980. He ranks ninth in the UMSL records in career scoring with 52 points, and is tenth in career goals scored with 20. His 14 goals scored in 1980 rank as the fifth best single season total in school history, and his 33 points that season rank as the sixth best in school history.
