COACHING EXPERIENCE
  • Begins fifth season at UMSL in 202-22 and his fourth as head coach.
  • Served as the interim head coach during the 2018 campaign.
  • Joined the Tritons program in the fall of 2017 as an assistant coach.
  • Came to after two years as an assistant coach at Texas A&M Corpus Christi where he was the catchers and base running coach.
  • Got his collegiate coaching start at Vincennes University as an assistant coach where he helped direct the Trailblazers to 27 wins during the 2011 season.
  • Spent two seasons as an assistant at Madison College, where the program had a record of 88-26 with two trips to the DII World Series, finishing fourth and third, respectively. Wahl ran the recruiting program and coached hitters, catcher and the bullpen. While at Madison, he coached and recruited 21 players that moved on to NCAA DI school with one being selected in the MLB Draft.
  • Also spent two years at Brunswick Community College, which produced a 52-34 record during the 2014 and 2015 seasons. He led the recruiting efforts and assisted with the hitters and catchers before assuming the role of pitching coach. Helped coach and recruit 18 players that moved on to NCAA DI programs, including two that were selected in the MLB Draft.
COACHING HIGHLIGHTS
  • In his first season at the helm of the program, led the 2018 squad to a 21-29 overall record, which surpassed the previous year’s win total of 16.

  • Three All-GLVC honorees
PLAYING EXPERIENCE
  • Wahl was a four year- at catcher at NCAA Division III Franklin College, where he helped the Grizzlies to a school record for career wins (106).
EDUCATION
  • Graduated in 2010 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sports Leadership from Franklin College.
  • Earned a Masters of Coaching and Athletic Administration from Concordia Irvine.
