Jon Huelsman scored two goals to help the University of Missouri-St. Louis men's soccer team post a 3-0 shutout at Saint Joseph's on Sunday afternoon in Great Lakes Valley Conference action.
Huelsman's goals both came in the first half, while freshman
Nathan Dryer added his first collegiate goal in the 80
th minute. Huelsman leads the team with eight goals.
UMSL improves to 10-3-1 overall with the win, including 9-3 in the GLVC, tying the 2012 team for a program-best GLVC victories. Saint Joseph's slips to 1-12-1 and 1-10-1 in the league.
Huelsman accounted for seven of UMSL's 18 shots, while the host Pumas attempted nine. Senior
Nick Lenkman recorded two saves to help the Tritons to their fifth shutout of the season.
UMSL travels to Truman State on Friday in its final regular season road game of the year before hosting Quincy next Sunday.
