ST. LOUIS, MO. – Sophomore 
DJ Bednar scored a goal and tallied two assists to help the University of Missouri-St. Louis men's soccer team to a 3-0 Great Lakes Valley Conference win over Maryville on Wednesday evening in the regular season finale. 
The Tritons improve to 12-3-2 overall, equaling the most wins by a 
Dan King coached team in his 14 years at the helm. UMSL also wraps up the GLVC schedule with an 11-3-1 record – a new program-best. The Tritons begin GLVC Tournament play on Sunday, hosting an opponent yet to be determined at 2:30 p.m. Seedings and pairings will be announced later tonight after all games have concluded. 
Maryville finishes its season with a 5-9-4 record, including a 4-9-2 mark in the GLVC. 
Bednar scored in the 18
th minute, connecting from right in front of the goal off a pass from junior 
Jon Huelsman, who picked up the misplayed ball on the right side before finding his open teammate.

Tony Auck then scored his first collegiate goal in the 57
th minute, picking up the loose ball rebound inside the box with the assist to Bednar. 
Bednar and Huelsman then found an open 
Tyler Collico in the 65
th minute as his shot from just inside the post found its way into the back of the net. 
Senior 
Nick Lenkman, reigning GLVC Defensive Player of the Week, recorded X saves, while tallying his seventh shutout of the season. 
UMSL owned a 14-11 advantage in shots. Huelsman placed all three of his four shot attempts on target.
