Box Score EAST PEORIA, ILL. – The University of Missouri-St. Louis volleyball team saw its season come to a close with a 3-0 loss to Indianapolis on Friday in quarterfinal round action of the Great Lakes Valley Conference Tournament. The No. 1 East Division seeded Greyhounds defeated the No. 4 West Division seeded Tritons 25-22, 25-23, 25-18 to advance to Friday's quarterfinals against No. 3 East Division McKendree.
Sophomore
Jory Siebenmoregen led the Tritons with nine kills, while senior
Haley Brightwell, playing in her final collegiate game, tallied eight. Junior
Lindsay Meyer dished out 29 assists and recorded 15 digs, while senior
Emily Bragaw tallied 13 digs.
The Greyhounds hit .252 to UMSL's .110 and owned a 10-7 advantage in blocks. Juniors
Hannah Miller and
Jessica Ploss each had three blocks for the Tritons.
UMSL ends its season with a 16-12 record, while Indianapolis improves to 19-9 as the Greyhounds look for their fifth straight GLVC Tournament Championship.
