FORT LAUDERDALE, FLA. – Nova Southeastern shot 53.8 percent from the field and connected on 14 three-pointers en route to an 82-58 win over the visiting University of Missouri-St. Louis men's basketball team on Sunday afternoon in the Tritons' final non-conference game of the year.
UMSL slips to 8-2 overall, while Nova Southeastern improves to 5-4.
The Tritons fell behind 39-20 at the half, shooting just 28.6 percent in the opening 20 minutes, before finishing at an even 38 percent clip.

Brandon Marquardt scored 12 points off the bench for UMSL, connecting on 4-of-8 three-pointers, while senior
Aareon Smith followed with 11 points and also collected three steals and four rebounds. The Sharks owned a 35-22 rebounding advantage.
Senior
Neil Branham dished out four assists, while Marquardt and freshman
Max Cook each had three.
UMSL returns to action on Friday, Jan. 2, hosting Illinois Springfield at 7:30 p.m. in the Great Lakes Valley Conference opener.
