Box Score ST. LOUIS, MO. – The University of Missouri-St. Louis volleyball team suffered a 3-1 loss to Great Lakes Valley Conference co-West Division leader Truman State on Friday night in league action. The Bulldogs won by set scores of 25-23, 25-22, 24-26, 25-19.
UMSL falls to 6-4 overall, including 3-2 in the GLVC, while Truman State improves to 9-2 and 5-0 in the league.
In a match that saw 37 ties and 15 lead changes and consisted of several long rallies, senior
Emily Bragaw recorded a career-best 30 digs and was one of four Triton players to reach double figures in that category.
Junior
Lindsay Meyer notched her fifth straight double-double with 48 assists and 21 digs and recorded her 2,000 career assist, becoming seventh player in program history to do so.
Offensively, senior
Allie Ewing registered a career-best 15 kills, while junior
Carly Ochs finished with 11 kills. Juniors
Hannah Miller and
Jessica Ploss added 10 kills each. Miller also served up three service aces, while Ploss led the team with three blocks.
UMSL hit .139 as a team, including .255 in the third set victory, while Truman State hit .210. The Bulldogs owned an 8-5 blocking advantage.
UMSL is back on the court tomorrow, hosting Quincy at 3 p.m.
