Box Score EVANSVILLE, IND. - The University of Missouri-St. Louis volleyball team closed out the final day of the Dunn Hospitality Invitational on Saturday by picking up two wins. The Tritons swept past Hillsdale, 25-19, 25-16, 25-18, before topping North Alabama, 3-2, in a five-set battle. Â

UMSL improves to 3-1 with the wins and will open Great Lakes Valley Conference play at home next Saturday, hosting Illinois Springfield at 5 p.m.

Hannah Miller and
Jessica Ploss were both named to the all-tournament team. Miller averaged 2.00 kills and 0.36 blocks per set, while Ploss averaged 1.77 kills and 0.69 blocks per set.

Jory Siebenmorgen recorded 12 kills.

Haley Brightwell added nine kills and nine digs, while junior
Lindsay Meyer dished out 29 assists and served up three service aces.

UMSL tallied 47 kills, while limiting Hillsdale to 33 kills.

UMSL 3, North Alabama 2UMSL pulled out the 30-28, 13-25, 26-24, 24-26, 15-8 in a match that featured 34 ties and 14 lead changes.

Brightwell tallied 15 kills and 13 digs in the win and scored two of the final three points in the first set UMSL victory.

Carly Ochs added 11 kills, while Meyer finished with 41 assists and 14 digs. Senior
Emily Bragaw registered 27 digs.

Ploss recorded six blocks for the Tritons, which posted 13 as a team, while hitting .164. North Alabama tallied 22 blocks and hit at a .220 clip.
