ST. LOUIS, MO., January 22, 2015 – The University of Missouri-St. Louis men's basketball saw a 22-point second half lead erased by visiting Drury on Saturday afternoon as the Panthers rallied back for an 80-76 overtime win to move into first place in the Great Lakes Valley Conference West Division standings.
In what can simply be described as a tale of two halves, the Tritons owned 38-22 halftime lead behind 53.8 percent first half shooting and opened the second half on a 6-0 run, taking their largest lead of the game at 44-22 with 16:39 to play. However, the rest of the game belonged to Drury, who didn't even net its first field goal of the second half until the 14:43 mark. The Panthers shot 52.9 percent in the final 25 minutes, while UMSL connected at just a 27.9 percent clip.
The Tritons, which fall to 14-5 overall, including 6-3 in the GLVC, were also plagued with a season-high 21 turnovers – 15 of them coming in the second half, which led to 18 Drury points. The Panthers improve to 13-4 overall, including 7-2 in the league and were led by Kameron Bundy's game-high 28 points, all of which came in the second half. Bundy was 0-of-10 from the field in the first half as Drury shot just 29.6 percent in the opening stanza. The loss was the first at home this season for the Tritons in 10 games, which drop to second place in the West Division standings.

Tylor Wimbish scored a team-best 18 points for the Tritons, including 14 in the first half, and did not score after the 16:39 mark of the second half in which he put UMSL up 44-22. Wimbish also grabbed 12 rebounds for his third double-double of the season.

Aareon Smith followed with 15 points and eight rebounds, going 11-of-12 at the free throw line, while junior
Tre Ogles added 14 points. Junior
Brandon Marquardt chipped in 10 points off the bench.
Ogles helped send the game to overtime, connecting on a game-tying three-pointer from the wing with 7.1 seconds to play. The Panthers built a 66-61 lead with 1:12 remaining, but four straight free throws by Smith pulled UMSL within 66-65 with 17 seconds on the clock. The Tritons quickly sent Drury to the free throw line where they successfully converted both attempts before Ogles' three-pointer.
UMSL jumped out to a quick 72-68 advantage in the extra period, but the Panthers followed with an 8-0 run, including two three-pointers from Bundy, to take a 76-72 lead they would not relinquish. Drury then went 4-of-4 at the free throw line in the final 19 seconds to preserve the win.
UMSL finished the game shooting 40 percent and owned a 39-34 rebounding advantage, while Drury shot 42.6 percent.
The Tritons used an 18-7 run over a seven minute stretch in the first half to erase a two-point deficit and posted a 25-12 lead on three Ogles free throws with 8:19 to play. Ogles scored the final seven points of the run, including a four-point play, while Wimbish scored the first eight points on four straight buckets.
UMSL will open a four-game road trip at Rockhurst on Thursday.
