AURORA, ILL. – The University of Missouri - St. Louis volleyball team opened play at the eighth annual Mizuno Midwest Region Crossover Tournament with a 25-22, 25-12, 25-13 loss to Northern Michigan on Friday afternoon.
The Tritons were limited to 19 kills and hit a season low .024, while the Wildcats tallied 40 kills, hitting .333. UMSL slips to 8-12 overall, while Northern Michigan improves to 13-6.

Jessica Ploss had five kills and four blocks, while sophomore
Gina Pezze added five kills, three digs and a pair of service aces. Senior

Lindsay Meyer recorded 15 assists.
UMSL will play two matches on tomorrow's final day of the tournament, beginning at 10 a.m. against Lake Erie before closing out the day at 4 p.m. against Ursuline.
