ST. LOUIS, MO. – For the first time since 1983, the University of Missouri-St. Louis women's soccer team will be in the NCAA Tournament. The Tritons earned one of three at-large bids in the Midwest Region, as announced Monday evening by the NCAA.

UMSL earned the fifth seed and hits the road to meet fourth-seeded Quincy on Friday at host Grand Valley State in the regional quarterfinals. Game time is set for 7 p.m. (EST). The winner of the UMSL-Quincy contest will face the top-seeded Lakers on Sunday at 1 p.m. (EST).

The remainder of the bracket features third-seeded Truman State against sixth-seeded Cedarville with the winner to face host and second-seeded Bellarmine.

This is UMSL's third trip to the NCAA Tournament with the 1982 team also qualifying.

The Tritons are 12-4-4 overall, equaling the program's most wins since 2007. UMSL finished fourth in the Great Lakes Valley Conference regular season and was runner-up in the league tournament. The Tritons upset top-seeded Bellarmine, 2-1, in the semifinals before falling to Truman State, 2-0, in the championship game.

UMSL and Quincy played to a 1-1 double overtime draw in the GLVC opener at Quincy on September 11.
