ST. LOUIS, MO. – Junior
Hannah Perryman tossed her fifth perfect game of the season on Monday to lead to the No. 3 ranked University of Missouri-St. Louis softball team to a 2-0 victory over No. 15 ranked Southern Indiana. With the win, the Tritons clinched the regular season Great Lakes Valley Conference title and will take the No. 1 seed into this weekend's GLVC Tournament in Peoria, Ill. The official bracket and pairings will be announced by the league office later tonight.
The Screaming Eagles won game two, 8-2, as all 18 players on the Tritons' roster saw significant playing time on the day.
UMSL concludes the regular season at 40-6, including 25-5 in GLVC play. It is the program's fourth 40-win season and its third straight, with all three of those coming under fifth year head coach
Brian Levin. Southern Indiana ends its regular season with a 37-7 mark, including a 22-6 GLVC record.
GAME 1: UMSL 2, Southern Indiana 0Perryman extended on her own NCAA Division II records for perfect games in a season (five) and a career (six). Additionally, it was her fifth no-hitter of the season, which ranks second on the NCAA DII single season charts and the ninth of her career, which is third in NCAA DII single season.
Perryman's six career perfect games also ties the second most ever by an NCAA pitcher in all divisions, equaling DIII's Allison Fournier of Tufts, who also recorded her sixth earlier this season. Both players trail only Cat Ostermann of Texas (NCAA DI) who owns seven career perfect games.
Perryman recorded just six strikeouts – well below her average of 14 per seven innings, but was backed up with solid defense on 10 fly outs and five ground outs. The shutout was her 11
th of the season, including ninth in GLVC play, and marked her 22
nd victory of the season and the 75
th of her career.
UMSL jumped out to an early 1-0 lead in the first inning as senior

Katie Rutledge drove in an insurance run with a bases loaded RBI groundout, scoring senior
Jena Boudreau.
The Tritons were limited to five hits, but also drew five walks. Wessels reached base in three of four plate appearances with one hit and two walks.
GAME 2: Southern Indiana 8, UMSL 2The Screaming Eagles recorded 13 hits en route to the win, while UMSL tallied just five off USI's Brooke Harmening, who tossed all 14 innings on the day for the guests.
Redshirt freshman
Rachel Matthies knocked out her first collegiate home run in the bottom of the second inning, which was also the team's 96
th of the year, ninth most in an NCAAD2 single season.
UMSL also scored in the fifth inning on sophomore
Ryan Logan's sac fly.

Katie Schultz recorded two hits to lead the offense.
