ST. LOUIS, MO. – The University of Missouri-St. Louis women's soccer team saw its season come to an end on Wednesday with a scoreless draw against Bellarmine.
The Tritons, who were unbeaten in six of their final seven games (3-1-3), finish the 2017 season with an overall mark of 5-7-4, including 4-7-3 in the GLVC. Bellarmine, which will move on to the GLVC Tournament, is now 7-3-5 and 6-3-5 in the league.
Both teams finished with 10 shots, while the Knights held a 6-3 advantage in shots on goal and UMSL had nine corner kicks to Bellarmine's one.
The Tritons nearly ended the game with 30 seconds to play in the second overtime, getting the ball into the box, where sophomore
Rose Crabtree had a good look at the goal, but her shot attempt went just high.
Four-year starter
Emily Mosier took a team-high three shots in her final collegiate game, while Crabtree had two shots, including one on goal.
Freshman
Amber Hayes played all 110 minutes in goal, registering six saves. She posted a 3-3-3 record in between the posts this season.
