ST. LOUIS, MO. – Sophomore
Jordyn White converted the Tritons' first penalty kick of the season as the University of Missouri-St. Louis women's soccer team drew a 1-1 double overtime tie against William Jewell Friday night in Great Lakes Valley Conference action.
The Cardinals tied the game in the 69
th minute.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- White's PK came with 4:40 remaining to play in the first half after a foul in the box and gave her team a 1-0 lead. It was White's first career goal.
- Freshman
Amber Hayes made five first half saves, including one in the 17
th minute when she stopped a point blank one-on-one attempt.
- The Cardinals applied pressure early in the second half and came close to notching the equalizer several times, including a shot that hit the crossbar.
- William Jewell found the equalizer in the 69
th minute, scoring on a free kick from 35-yards out that had just enough leg to sneak into the far right corner.

Sydney Bloch nearly scored the game-winner with 1:40 remaining as her shot attempt sent Cardinals keeper Jordan Lewis to the ground on the save.
STATISTICALLY SPEAKING
- Hayes recorded 11 saves, notching a season-high for the third straight game.
- William Jewell finished with 23 shots, including 13 on goal, while UMSL landed five of its 10 shots on goal.
- Bloch and freshman
Emily Hanewinkel each had two shots including one on goal.
- The Cardinals had 22 corner kicks, including 12 in the second half, while UMSL took six.
