Hunter Reine recorded his seventh double-double of the year with 16 points and 12 rebounds despite the Tritons suffering a 71-58 loss to No. 15 ranked Southern Indiana Thursday night in Great Lakes Valley Conference play.
UMSL falls to 10-14 overall, including 4-10 in the GLVC, while the Screaming Eagles improve to 22-2, including 12-2 in the league.

Elijah Watson was the only other UMSL player in double figures with 10 points, while adding three assists.
- The Tritons shot 43.4 percent, but were just 4-of-15 (26.7 percent) from three-point range, while Southern Indiana shot 43.5 percent and made 11 long balls.
- The Screaming Eagles also held a 34-32 rebounding advantage, including an 11-8 edge on the offensive end, outscoring UMSL, 13-7, in second chance points.
- USI took advantage of 16 UMSL turnovers, outscoring the Tritons, 18-9, in points off turnovers.
How it Happened
Southern Indiana led from the start, but did not take its first double-digit lead until the two-minute mark (33-22). The Screaming Eagles held a 40-26 advantage at the break.
USI posted its largest lead at 69-54 with 5:51 remaining before 13 unanswered points by the Tritons made it a 69-58 game with 1:07 to go. UMSL knocked down three of its four three-pointers in the game during that stretch, including two by freshman
Kobe Wands in a span of 27 seconds.
