ST. LOUIS, MO. – The University of Missouri-St. Louis baseball team suffered a 7-6 loss to Harris Stowe on Wednesday night.
UMSL slips to 8-12 overall, while Harris Stowe improves to 21-11.
How It Happened
- Harris Stowe struck for three runs in the first inning, while UMSL got one back in the second on an RBI single from junior
Cole McDonald.
- The Hornets extended their lead to 5-1 in the top of the fifth before UMSL came back in the bottom of the frame to plate five runs on five hits and a pair of Harris Stowe errors to take a 6-5 lead. Junior
Chris Mathes had an RBI groundout, while the next four runs all came with two outs. Junior
Nick Ulrey had a two-run single, while McDonald added another RBI on the go-ahead single.
-The Tritons' lead didn't stand for long, however, as Harris Stowe scored two unanswered, tying the game in the sixth and scoring the game-winner in the eighth.

- Both teams tallied eight hits and combined for five errors, with three of those being charged to Harris Stowe.
- McDonald finished with two hits and two RBIs, while junior
Cooper Vinz also had two hits.
