WARRENSBURG, MO. – The University of Missouri-St. Louis lost both games to Missouri S&T on Sunday as the two teams concluded their four-game GLVC series.
UMSL slips to 15-27, including 9-15 in the GLVC, while Missouri S&T improves to 25-18 and 15-9 in the league.
Game 1: Missouri S&T 4, UMSL 3
Game Highlights
- UMSL out-hit the Miners, 10-5, but left eight runners on base, including three in the top of the seventh.
- Missouri S&T scored three first inning runs before the Tritons scored three unanswered over the next three frames to knot the score at 3-3 on RBI singles from juniors

- A solo home run by the Miners in the fifth scored the go-ahead run.
- Two walks and a single loaded the bases in the top of the seventh for UMSL, but the Miners induced a fielder's choice to get out of the jam.

Zach Lindsay (3-4) suffered the loss, allowing four runs on five hits in five innings. He also walked three and struck out two.
Game 2: Missouri S&T 8, UMSL 5
Game Highlights
- UMSL got on the board in the fourth inning on senior
Tanner Hudson's sac fly to make it 4-1, while senior
Nick Ulrey got the Tritons within 4-2 in the fourth with an RBI single.
- The Miners would push the lead back to four before a two-run homer from Vinz in the sixth.
- Vinz added another RBI in the eighth on a fielder's choice to make it 7-5.
Statistically Speaking
- Vinz finished with three RBI with one hit, while Morsch tallied two hits and scored two runs.
- Ulrey added two hits for UMSL, which was out-hit, 15-7.
- Senior
Kevin Smith (5-3) had a two-game win streak snapped, suffering the loss on the hill. He allowed seven runs on 12 hits, while walking five and striking out three.

UMSL will end the season at home this week with five games. The Tritons host Southwest Baptist on Tuesday in non-conference play before welcoming Drury for four games on Friday and Saturday.
