ST. LOUIS, MO.– The University of Missouri-St. Louis volleyball team closed out its 2018 season with 3-0 GLVC win at Maryville on Saturday, winning by set scores of 25-19, 25-16, 25-16.

How it Happened:
- SET 1: UMSL ended the opening frame on a 6-2 run with junior Kylie Rudsinski recording two of her five kills during that stretch. The Tritons hit .250.
- SET 2: An 8-3 run midway through the set turned a 10-8 lead into an 18-12 advantage with five of those points coming off Triton kills, including two from junior Selena Nolte. UMSL limited the Saints to -.071 hitting behind a 3-0 blocking advantage.
- SET 3: Rudsinski and senior Maddy Russell had two kills each during a stretch of six unanswered UMSL points that put the Tritons on top 13-7.
Statistically Speaking
- UMSL hit .244 with 45 kills behind a balanced offensive attack.
- Rudsinski recorded a match-high 12 kills, while Nolte and freshman Karlyn Hannewald added nine and eight kills, respectively.
- Russell finished with seven kills, 16 digs and two aces in her final collegiate match.
- Freshman Cara Ferchen (21) and sophomore Payton Kennelly (18) combined for 39 of 43 assists.
- Freshman Megan Woll tallied 18 digs and finishes the year with 620, a single season record.
