ST. LOUIS, MO. – The University of Missouri-St. Louis women's basketball team had four players in double figures on Friday evening as the Tritons defeated visiting Christian Brothers, 75-57, in non-conference action.
Sophomore
Alex LaPorta scored a game-high 19 points and added 12 rebounds for her fourth double-double of the season, while also tallying four assists and three steals.

How it Happened
UMSL took a 42-33 lead into halftime after owning a 24-19 advantage at the end of the first quarter. The Tritons opened the second quarter with a 12-3 run and took their largest lead of the half at 36-22 four minutes in.
UMSL began the second half with seven unanswered points to ignite an 11-2 run, stretching its advantage to 53-35 three minutes in. The Tritons took a 68-45 lead into the final 10 minutes after shooting 71.4 percent in the third quarter and outscoring their guests, 26-12, in that frame.
