Johnson Notches Triple Double as Women’s Basketball Clinches GLVC West Division

ST. LOUIS, MO. – Senior Shawnta Johnson recorded 13 points, 12 assists and 10 rebounds to notch the elusive triple-double on Saturday afternoon as the University of Missouri-St. Louis women's basketball team earned a 76-53 win over Missouri S&T in Great Lakes Valley Conference play.

The win, coupled with a McKendree loss, also clinched the GLVC Central Division title for the Tritons.

Many of Johnson's 12 assists were passes to senior Jordan Fletcher, who scored a game-high 28 points on 12-of-15 shooting. It was her third straight 20-point outing.

UMSL has now won nine straight and is 10-0 inside the Mark Twain Building.
