ST. LOUIS, MO. – Junior
Tom DeCero reached base in all five plate appearances, recording three hits, including two doubles, as the University of Missouri-St. Louis baseball team recorded a 10-4 win over Harris-Stowe on Tuesday in non-conference play.
DeCero also reached base twice on the hit-by-pitch and scored three runs, while UMSL tallied 13 hits.

The Tritons scored in each of the first three innings, taking a quick 3-0 lead in the first inning on three consecutive hits, including RBI singles by senior
Cooper Vinz and freshman
Josh Shoemaker and an RBI double from sophomore
Jarrett O'Brien.
Shoemaker led the team with four RBI on two hits, while O'Brien also had a three-hit game. Shoemaker drove in UMSL's final three runs, including two on a single in the sixth and one in the eight on a sac fly.
Junior
Shane Melbrod delivered his first home run of the year, a two-run shot in the third inning.
Juniors
Ben Leuthauser and
Michael Houchin combined for five scoreless innings. Leuthauser went two frames, allowing just one hit and striking out three, while Houchin, who was credited with the win, worked three innings, scattering one hit and striking out four.
Harris Stowe was limited to six hits.
