LOUISVILLE, KY. – Junior
Carly Kingery tossed two complete game wins as the University of Missouri-St. Louis softball team closed out its regular season by sweeping Bellarmine on Sunday in GLVC play. The Tritons won by scores of 1-0 and 6-5.
Kingery combined for 22 strikeouts on the day, improving to 13-6 on the season.
UMSL now turns its attention to the GLVC Championship Tournament, which begins Thursday in East Peoria, Ill. The defending champion Tritons are the No. 4 seed and will open play against No. 5 seed Truman State at 10 a.m. in the double elimination tournament.

Senior
Jennah Perryman provided the game's only run with a solo homer in the first inning with her 10
th long ball of the season.
Kingery limited the Knights to four hits and walked one, while striking out 11.
Junior
Madi Sundling recorded two of the Tritons' six hits.
Game 2: UMSL 6, Bellarmine 5
The Tritons erased a 3-0 deficit, using a three-hit, five-run fifth inning to take a lead it would not relinquish.
Sundling drew a bases loaded walk to get her team on the board, while Kingery and junior
Reagan Osborn each followed with an RBI single to make it 3-3. Junior
Chelsea Martinez later made it 5-3 with her two-out, two-run single.
Kingery added an insurance run in the sixth with a sacrifice fly, while Bellarmine got two runs back in the sixth and left the tying run at second base in the seventh.
Martinez recorded two of UMSL's seven hits, while Bellarmine recorded 10 hits.
Kingery struck out 11 and walked three.
