ST. LOUIS, MO., January 31, 2019 – All five starters scored in double figures on Thursday night as the University of Missouri-St. Louis men's basketball team posted a 75-59 Great Lakes Valley Conference victory over visiting Rockhurst.
Senior
Johnathan Matthews led the way with 17 points, while
Jason Towery added 16. Redshirt sophomore
Steve Webb collected his first double-double with 14 points and a career-best 11 rebounds.
The win for the Tritons was their fourth straight and moves the squad to 16-4 overall for just the third time in program history and the first since the 1990-91 season.

How it Happened
UMSL held a 32-19 lead at the half, limiting Rockhurst to 28.6 percent shooting.
The Hawks then outscored the Tritons, 18-11, to open the second half, capped with 11 unanswered points, to pull within 43-37 with 13:01 to play. However, UMSL responded with seven straight for an 11-3 spurt to push the advantage back into double figures and never looked back.

- UMSL shot 52.7 percent and held a 41-25 rebounding advantage, while Rockhurst shot 37.3 percent.
- Sophomore Anthony Hughes and senior Eric Dust added 12 points each.
- Hughes pulled down seven rebounds, while Matthews dished out four assists.
