ST. LOUIS, MO. – The University of Missouri-St. Louis women's basketball team dropped a 62-60 decision to visiting Southern Indiana on Saturday afternoon in Great Lakes Valley Conference play.
The Screaming Eagles converted the game-winner with 34 seconds, while UMSL missed three potential tying or winning shot attempts in the final 22 seconds in a game that featured 13 ties and 16 lead changes.

How it Happened
UMSL clung to a 16-15 lead at the end of the first quarter and 31-29 at the break after a first half that saw each team hold a five-point lead.
Neither team led by more than three in the third quarter with the game going to the final 10 minutes knotted at 45-45.
A three-point bucket by senior
Arielle Jackson opened up a five-point advantage with 2:28 to play at 60-55, but the Screaming Eagles answered back with a three of their own and later tied it at 60-60 with 1:26 to go.

Kaitlynn Henning's shot as she was driving to the basket. The ball stayed with the Tritons who missed the three-pointer. USI then turned it over with 1.9 seconds to play giving UMSL another shot attempt that fell off the rim.

- Senior Arielle Jackson finished with a game-high 23 points, while sophomore Alex LaPorta tallied her sixth double-double with 13 points and 13 rebounds to go with four assists.
- Freshman Kiara Stewart added 11 boards to help UMSL to a 45-39 advantage in that category. The Tritons held a 14-11 advantage on the offensive end, outscoring USI 16-9 in second chance points.
- UMSL shot 32.1 percent with USI recording eight blocks. The Screaming Eagles shot 38.8 percent.
