CREVE COUER, MO. – The University of Missouri-St. Louis men's soccer team picked a good time to get back in the win column, defeating No. 2 ranked and previously unbeaten Maryville, 1-0, on Friday night in Great Lakes Valley Conference action. The game, originally scheduled to be played at Don Dallas Field on the UMSL campus, was moved to the Lou Fusz Soccer Complex because of overnight and morning rains.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Senior
Magnus Andersen broke the scoreless game in the 61
st minute, beating the Saints defender down the right side of the field before getting past Saints goalie Liam Walraven, who came out to the top of the box. Walraven had given up just three goals in his first 10 games of the season.
The Tritons defense then held on for the win, despite being outshot, 19-6, including 10-2 in shots on goal. Junior keeper
Jordan Hurt made eight saves, while Maryville also had a shot in the 75
th minute that hit off the crossbar.
The Saints did play a man down for the final 50:25 of the game after having a player issued a red card.
Andersen led UMSL with two shots.
