INDIANAPOLIS, IND. – The University of Missouri-St. Louis volleyball team opened play at the 2019 Midwest Region Crossover Tournament with a 3-1 victory over Northern Michigan on Friday. The Tritons won by set scores of 25-14, 27-25, 16-25, 25-18.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Tritons tallied 52 kills and hit .179, while Wildcats hit just .129 with 43 kills.
- UMSL hit .433 in the opening frame.
- Northern Michigan fended off two set points in the second set before a Wildcats service and hitting error gave UMSL the win.
- The Tritons committed 11 hitting errors in the third set loss, but bounced back with just four mistakes in the fourth frame.
- Northern Michigan out-blocked UMSL, 13-8.
STATISTICALLY SPEAKING
- Three players had double digit kills, including 13 from sophomore
Charlotte Richards, 12 from senior
Kylie Rudsinski and 10 from freshman
Raquel Kessler.

Kaileen Herman dished out 41 assists.

Megan Woll tallied 24 digs, bringing her career total to 985.
- Kessler and Richards had six and four blocks, respectively.
