INDIANAPOLIS, IND. – The University of Missouri-St. Louis volleyball team closed out the Midwest Region Crossover Tournament with a sweep of No. 13 ranked Ferris State on Saturday afternoon.
The Tritons battled to a 31-29 opening set victory and then used that momentum to take set two, 25-12, before capping the match with a 25-17 win.
With the win, UMSL secured a 20-win season for the 17
th time in 45 seasons and just the second time in the last nine years.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The first set saw 28 ties and 14 lead changes. The Bulldogs erased UMSL's 24-22 lead and fended off four other set points before the Tritons were able to pull away.
- UMSL hit a combined .467 over the last two frames, including .519 in the second set.
- A 7-0 UMSL run in the third set helped the Tritons erase a 15-14 deficit and take a 21-15 lead en route to the win. Senior
Morgan Childers had three of her five service aces during that stretch.
- UMSL finished the match hitting .344 and racked up 56 kills, while holding Ferris State to 35 kills and .223 hitting.
- The Tritons held a 7-4 advantage in blocks.
STATISTICALLY SPEAKING
- Sophomore
Charlotte Richards led the offense with 21 kills and added 10 digs and two aces.
- Senior
Selena Nolte followed with 14 kills.
- Junior
Kaileen Herman dished out 42 assists and recorded six kills in nine attempts.
- Sophomore
Megan Woll tallied 15 digs, while freshman
Alexa Rang added 10.
