ST. LOUIS, MO. – Senior
Magnus Andersen scored twice for the University of Missouri-St. Louis men's soccer team en route to a 3-1 victory over Southwest Baptist Friday night in the first GLVC meeting between the two programs.
It was the third straight win and the fourth in the last five games for the Tritons, while Andersen upped his season goal total to 11, with eight of those coming in the last five games.
Prior to the game, Andersen and fellow seniors
Donald Link and
Carter Cassell were recognized as part of Senior Night festivities.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Andersen converted a penalty kick in the 22
nd minute and scored the game-winner in the 60
th minute after slicing through the defense in the box. Southwest Baptist had tied it in the 56
th minute.
Freshman
Will Cytron added an insurance goal in the 84
th minute off the rebound.
UMSL outshot the Bearcats, 22-8, and had a 7-4 edge in shots on goal and a 7-6 advantage in corner kicks.
STATISTICALLY SPEAKING
Andersen took five shots, landing two on target, while freshman
Tommy Naumann also took five shots, placing three on goal. Naumann also added an assist on Cytron's goal.
Junior
Jordan Hurt got the win in goal, playing all 90 minutes and recorded three saves.
