The Hawks scored 1:12 into the second period while the Tritons were playing one man down after being issued a red card with 78 seconds to go in the first half.
 
UMSL outshot Quincy, 14-10, including 4-2 in shots on goal, while the Hawks had a 6-4 advantage in corner kicks.
 
Senior Magnus Andersen took six shots, landing two on goal, while freshman Michael Andrews had two shots.
