Baseball Drops Series Opener to Texas A&M Kingsville

KINGSVILLE, TEXAS – The University of Missouri-St. Louis baseball team dropped a 5-0 decision at Texas A&M Kingsville on Friday in the opener of a four-game series.

 

Records: UMSL (0-4), Texas A&M Kingsville (6-4)

 

The Javelinas scored three runs in a four-hit third inning to break open the game after being held hitless by Triton starter Ryan Siverly through the first two innings en route to the win.

 

Inside the Box Score

-           UMSL was out-hit 7-4 with junior Jarrett O'Brien recording two hits, including a double.

-          Siverly suffered the loss in four and two-thirds of an inning, allowing four earned runs on five hits.

-          Redshirt junior Jason Stuckmeyer struck out five in three innings of relief work, surrendering just one unearned run on two hits.

 

Up Next

The two teams will play a doubleheader tomorrow starting at 1 p.m.
