ST. LOUIS, MO. – The University of Missouri-St. Louis baseball team lost twice to visiting Wayne State on Friday as the Tritons opened the home portion of their schedule. The Warriors won by scores of 12-1 and 2-0.

Game 1: Wayne State 12, UMSL 1
Wayne State recorded three four-run innings, finishing with nine hits. The Warriors scored four runs on four hits in the first inning and plated four more runs in the eighth, taking advantage of an error and five walks with only one hit and then four in the ninth.
The Tritons were limited to four hits, three of which came to lead off the ninth inning, including a pinch hit RBI single from redshirt junior
Nathen Steen that led to UMSL's lone run.
Sophomore
AJ Davis broke up the no-hitter in the seventh with a one-out single through the left side.
Redshirt junior
Jason Stuckmeyer tossed seven innings in relief, allowing just two hits and two unearned runs, while striking out six, including three looking, without issuing any walks.
Game 2: Wayne State 2, UMSL 0
The Warriors broke the scoreless game in the eighth despite a hit, taking advantage of a hit by pitch and a walk. The first run came home on a wild pitch, while a sac fly scored the second.
UMSL left seven runners on base, including runners on third in the fifth, sixth and seventh innings, and held a 5-4 advantage in hits. Freshman
Jacob Stoker tallied two of those, including a double.
Senior
Matt Graser went eight innings in the start, scattering four hits and allowing the two runs.
