EVANSVILLE, IND. – The University of Missouri-St. Louis baseball team erased a seven-run deficit, but saw host Southern Indiana use a late rally of its own en route to claiming a 17-11 win in the finale of a three-game GLVC series on Sunday.
 
Records: UMSL (9-36, 8-22 GLVC), Southern Indiana (26-18, 18-12 GLVC)
 
The Screaming Eagles built a 9-2 advantage after four innings, thanks in part to a six-run first, but the Tritons would score the next nine runs, tying the game at 9-9 in the sixth after a six-run frame before pulling in front at 11-9 in the seventh.
 
USI scored once in the seventh and crossed the plate seven times in the eighth to complete its rally.
 
Despite the loss, UMSL tallied a season-best 19 hits with seven players recording at least two. Offensive leaders included:

• Redshirt junior Koltyn Schilly (4-for-5, 3 runs)
• Redshirt junior Derrick Freeman (3-for-4, 4 RBI, 3 runs)
• Junior Andrew Hayden (3-for-5, 2 RBI)
• Redshirt senior Brian Seymour (2-for-5, 3 RBI)
