JOPLIN, MO. – The University of Missouri-St. Louis baseball team lost a 12-1 decision to Missouri Southern on Saturday afternoon at the MIAA/GLVC Crossover, hosted by Lions.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The Lions plated four runs in the first inning for the quick lead before a seven-run outburst in the fourth made it 11-0.
Missouri Southern, which had eight hits, took advantage of eight walks and seven UMSL errors.
The Tritons got on the board in the sixth inning on an RBI double from sophomore
Mitchel Becher.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
- UMSL finished with five hits, including two each from Becher and redshirt senior Derrick Freeman.
- The Lions' Zach Parrish recorded 14 strikeouts in five innings.
