MOBILE, ALA. – The University of Missouri-St. Louis baseball team lost both games of a doubleheader at Spring Hill on Saturday, 14-10 and 6-0.
RECORDS: UMSL (2-4), Spring Hill (6-8)
GAME 1: Spring Hill 14, UMSL 10
UMSL jumped out to a 7-0 lead, which included a six-run first inning, but Spring Hill followed with three four-run frames to rally for the win.
The Tritons out-hit the Badgers, 12-8, despite the loss, while both teams committed four errors. However, Spring Hill drew 13 walks.
UMSL had three extra base hits, including a solo home run by sophomore
Jacob Stoker.
Senior
Jarrett O'Brien and freshman
Jared Bryant had two hits each, while 10 players had at least one hit.
GAME 2: Spring Hill 6, UMSL 0
The Badgers' Logan Clark tossed the second complete game shutout of the series, scattering six hits.
Junior
Josh Shoemaker accounted for two of those, including a double.
Spring Hill recorded seven hits and drew four walks. They scored twice in the second, added one run in the third and completed its scoring with a three-run sixth inning.
