ST. LOUIS, MO. – Redshirt senior
Jason Towery scored a career-high 19 points on Thursday as the University of Missouri-St. Louis men's basketball team rolled to a 73-61 Great Lakes Valley Conference victory over Lewis.
Towery scored 17 of those points in the first half and added 10 rebounds for his first double-double of the year.
UMSL improves to 15-0 at home with the win.

HOW IT HAPPENED
UMSL raced out to a 21-2 lead and took its largest lead of the first half at 39-14 with five minutes to go. The Tritons took a 46-29 lead at halftime.
Lewis pulled within 60-50 with just under eight minutes to play, but three-pointers from juniors
Yaakema Rose Jr. and
Shane Wissink ended the threat.
UMSL shot 45.5 percent after a 53.3 percent first half outing. Lewis connected at a 45.8 percent clip.

- Junior Shane Wissink added 18 points on 6-of-7 three-point shooting.
- Senior Jalen Wilkins-McCoy and Rose Jr. also finished in double figures with 12 and 10 points, respectively.
- Rose Jr. added five assists, while redshirt sophomore Steve Webb recorded six assists and four steals.
- UMSL outscored the Flyers, 25-10, in points off turnovers as Lewis had 16 miscues.
