ST. LOUIS, MO. – The University of Missouri-St. Louis women's basketball team ended it's 2019-20 season on Saturday afternoon with a 94-64 victory over Illinois Springfield.
The Tritons close the year by winning four straight and nine of their last 11. They also won eight straight at home and come up one spot shy of making the GLVC Tournament.
After the contest, UMSL honored its three seniors -
Amaria Allen,
Grace Morrow and
Laura Szorenyi for their contributions to the program during their collegiate careers.

HOW IT HAPPENED
UMSL led 21-12 at the end of the first quarter before extending it to a 49-27 advantage at halftime. The Tritons owned a 27-9 rebounding advantage in the opening 20 minutes, including a 10-1 edge on the offensive end. They outscored the Prairie Stars, 13-1, in second chance points.
UMSL finished with a 47-33 rebounding advantage and shot 47.9 percent, while holding the Prairie Stars to 34.5 percent shooting.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
- Szorenyi scored 22 points and added five rebounds in her final game.
- Junior Alex LaPorta also scored 22 points to go with 12 rebounds, four steals and three assists.
- Morrow notched a double-double with 13 points and 10 rebounds and added four blocked shots.
- Sophomore McKenzie Lathrom also recorded 13 points.
