WINTERHAVEN, FLA. – Freshman
McKenzie Lamos had three hits, including two doubles and a home run, on Tuesday to help the University of Missouri-St. Louis softball team to a pair of victories as the Tritons closed out their six-day, 10-game trip to Florida at The Spring Games.
UMSL posted a 4-1 win over Ashland and a 7-1 win over Bemidji State.
GAME 1: UMSL 4, Ashland 1
Lamos gave the Tritons a quick 2-0 lead in the first with a two-run long ball, while sophomore
Corinne Daley added a solo shot with her team-leading sixth home run of the year in the third inning to make it 4-0. Senior
Morgan Hill came home on a double steal in the second for the other run.

Andee Tiffee had two of UMSL's five hits, while freshman
Jenna Towle scattered just three hits, while striking out eight.

GAME 2: UMSL 7, Bemidji State 1
Lamos led the Tritons with two hits in the win and also scored two runs, putting her team on the board with a double in the first inning that was part of a four run frame. The three other runs came in on walks.
Daley made it 5-1 in the second with an RBI single, while UMSL plated its other two runs in the seventh, including one on a RBI single from sophomore
Sara Fredrickson.
Freshman
Annie Scaramuzzi recorded her first collegiate win in the circle, allowing just one run on four hits, while striking out five in six innings of work.
