OZARK, MO. – The University of Missouri-St. Louis baseball team opened the GLVC schedule with a split at Drury on Saturday, earning a 7-4 win in the opener before falling 13-7 in the nightcap.

Andrew Hayden led UMSL at the plate going 7-for-9.

GAME 1: UMSL 7, Drury 4
UMSL tallied 11 hits in the game, all of which were singles, and included a 4-for-4 performance at the plate from Hayden.
The Tritons jumped out to a quick 4-0 lead after the first inning, tallying five of those hits in that frame.

Bobby Shallenberger picked up the win on the mound. He went six and two-thirds innings, scattering six hits, while striking out five and walking five.

Ben Leuthauser recorded his first save of the season in two and one-thirds innings. He allowed one run on four hits and struck out three.

Jarrett O'Brien and sophomore
Brandon Olion added two hits each for UMSL, which overcame three errors and 10 strikeouts in the victory.
GAME 2: Drury 13, UMSL 7
Drury recorded 13 hits to UMSL's 11, but was able to take advantage of 14 walks and four Triton errors as the Panthers scored the game's first eight runs in four innings and never looked back.
Hayden and fellow senior
Jackson Dvorak tallied three hits each with Hayden recording an RBI double.
