ST. LOUIS – The University of Missouri-St. Louis women's basketball team lost a 71-53 decision at Maryville on Tuesday night as the Tritons shot just 32.2 percent.
Meanwhile, the Saints connected at a 52.1 percent clip, which included 10-of-15 (66.7 percent) from three-point range.
Despite the loss, senior
Kyra Hungerford scored a career-high 14 points off the bench, knocking down 4-of-9 from beyond the arc.

Alex LaPorta recorded her 35
th career double-double with 15 points and 10 rebounds.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The Saints led from the start, racing out to a 12-0 lead, while UMSL finally got on the board five minutes and 35 seconds into the game Hungerford's first three-pointer.
Maryville led 23-9 after the first quarter and took a 37-24 lead into halftime.
