The UMSL Tritons entered Saturday riding a momentum unbeknownst to many.
The Tritons volleyball team, which, this past week received national acclaim in a recent coaches' poll, had won five-in-a-row.
Enter Ferris State, who ruined the party for the Tritons, defeating the Tritons in four sets.
The Tritons fell 25-23, 21-25, 22-25, 12-25.
UMSL was led by
Kaileen Herman, who authored 41 assists, 15 digs, 3 blocks, 5 kills.
Megan Woll added 20 digs and
Charlotte Richards had 15 kills and 17 digs.
Karlyn Hannewald added 9 kills, 3 digs, 1 block and
Kylie Adams had 13 digs.
Mya Elliott added 13 kills, 5 digs, 3 blocks.
Olivia Klank had 2 kills, 1 dig and 1 block.
Paige Yoder had 5 kills, 2 assists, 3 digs and 1 block.
Olivia Rang added 15 digs.
The Tritons return to campus 15-5 and will head to Drury Friday and SBU Saturday.
UMSL returns to Chuck Smith Court Friday, Oct. 29, against Lindenwood to commence a four-match home stand.
