ST. LOUIS, Mo. -- The UMSL Tritons have had a target on their backs all year.
Getting everyone's best shot night in and night out simply goes with the territory this season.
And Friday certainly didn't deviate from the norm as the Tritons and Lindenwood went the distance, with UMSL outlasting the visiting Lions, three sets to two.
With the win, the Tritons move to 17-6 on the season and 10-2 in GLVC play.
The Tritons defeated the Lions 26-24, 22-25, 21-25, 25-21, and 15-10.
UMSL now gets the benefit of five of six of the remaining matches at home.
The next test comes next Tuesday when Quincy pays a visit to Chuck Smith Court.
Against the Lions:
Charlotte Richards led the way with 15 kills.
Olivia Klank added 12 and
Mya Elliott tallied 11.
Paige Yoder authored a .550 hitting percentage on the night.
Kaileen Herman was her usual self as she produced 42 assists.
Megan Woll added two and Yoder had one.
Woll added 36 digs and Richards finished with 18 and Herman added 15.
The Tritons had seven service aces.
