LEBANON, ILL. – The University of Missouri-St. Louis men's basketball team closed out the regular season with a 74-71 loss at McKendree on Thursday night.
The host Bearcats outscored UMSL, 7-2, over the final 75 seconds, which included five straight points to end the game.
The Tritons, who were playing their first game since Feb. 6, will now turn their attention to the GLVC Tournament, which begins on Wednesday with the top four seeds serving as host. UMSL entered tonight in second place in the standings.

HOW IT HAPPENED
UMSL shot 51.8 percent, but saw McKendree connect at a 54.3 percent clip, including 64 percent in the second half.
The Tritons owned a 33-28 halftime advantage and took their largest lead of the game at 56-48 with 8:03 to play. McKendree didn't have a lead until 72-71 with 48 seconds on the clock after Oliver Stephen hit all three free throws.
UMSL owned a 46-32 advantage in points in the paint, but went just 5-of-17 from three-point range, while the Bearcats made 9-of-22 (40.9 percent) from long range.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
- Redshirt sophomore Isaiah Fuller scored a career-high 22 points on 10-of-15 shooting.
- Senior Shane Wissink and junior Marty Jackson added 16 points and three assists each.
- Redshirt junior Kellen King tossed in 11 points and grabbed five rebounds.
- UMSL held a 30-22 rebounding advantage, including 12-5 on the offensive end, but only scored seven second chance points.
