KANSAS CITY – The University of Missouri-St. Louis baseball team scored 20 runs on 17 hits en route to a 20-9 victory to close out a four-game series at William Jewell on Saturday. The host Cardinals took game one of the day, 9-8.

GAME 1: William Jewell 9, UMSL 8
The Cardinals scored two runs in the bottom of the ninth to secure the win.
UMSL recorded eight hits, including four for extra base, one of which was a grand slam from freshman
Bryce Kulinski in the fifth inning that gave UMSL an 8-5 lead. The Tritons scored six runs in that sixth inning on just two hits, while also taking advantage of an error, three walks and a hit by pitch.

Mitch Green added two RBI.
GAME 2: UMSL 20, William Jewell 9
Seven of UMSL's 17 hits were for extra bases, including three-run homers from junior
Clayton Stephens and freshman
Brandon Pasley. Stephens finished with five RBI.
Sophomore
Jacob Stoker recorded two doubles in three at-bats and scored four runs, while junior
John Hilpert was 3-for-4 at the plate with three RBI and three runs scored. Freshman
Jared Bryant added three hits, including two doubles, and four RBI.
UMSL jumped out to an 11-0 lead after four innings, which included seven in the third. The Tritons scored five in the fifth and plated a run in all but the first inning.
Senior
Bobby Shallenberger went five innings in the win, allowing five runs on six hits.
