KIRKSVILLE, MO. – The University of Missouri-St. Louis softball team struggled offensively on Sunday, recording just five hits in a doubleheader at Truman State, falling to the host Bulldogs, 3-1 and 4-0.

Game 1: Truman State 3, UMSL 1
The Tritons were limited to just two hits, both of which came in the third inning to help UMSL get its run.
Sophomores
Irene Travis and
Morgan Barnoski both singled, while freshman
Maddie Snemis used an RBI groundout to drive the run in.
Sophomore
Jenna Towle took the loss, allowing three runs on five hits, while striking out four and walking one. All three Bulldog runs came in the first inning.
Sophomore
Annie Scaramuzzi tossed two scoreless innings, scattering two hits.
Game 2: Truman State 4, UMSL 0
The Bulldogs broke the scoreless game in the fifth inning with two runs and tacked on two more in the sixth.
Freshman
Riley Schultz had one of Triton hits, recording a double, while Travis added a single for her second hit of the day. Junior
Jessica Mrzlak recorded the other hit.
Junior
Mimi Bradley scattered six hits and allowed all four runs, although only two were earned. She struck out six and walked one.
