BOLIVAR, MO. – The University of Missouri-St. Louis softball team recorded 26 hits on Monday in a doubleheader sweep at Southwest Baptist. The Tritons won by scores of 13-4 and 5-1.

Game 1: UMSL 13, Southwest Baptist 4
Sophomore
Morgan Barnoski drove in six runs, recording a three-run double and a three-run home run.
UMSL tallied a season-high 14 hits to score the season-high 13 runs.
Barnoski's bases-clearing double came in the second inning to tie the game at 4-4.
The Bearcats struck first for a 4-0 lead in the first inning, but UMSL would score 13 unanswered to garner the win.
Junior
Sara Fredrickson recorded her first collegiate home run on a two-run shot in the sixth inning that extended the Tritons' lead to 9-4.
Barnoski's three-run home run came during the seventh inning to make the game 12-4 before an RBI single from sophomore
Irene Travis accounted for the final score.
Sophomore
Maddie Snemis was 3-for-4 at the plate with three runs scored.
Junior
Mimi Bradley scattered seven hits, but allowed just three after the first frame. She struck out eight and walked just two.
Game 2: UMSL 5, Southwest Baptist 1
The Tritons tallied 12 hits in the nightcap, including two each from Snemis, junior
Jessica Mrzlak and sophomores
McKenzie Lamos and
Jenna Towle.
Towle also picked up the win in the circle, scattering three hits and allowing one earned run, while striking out five and walking two.
