EAST PEORIA, ILL. – The No. 7 ranked and No. 2 seed University of Missouri-St. Louis volleyball team saw its season end with a 25-20, 25-19, 25-21 loss to No. 24 ranked and No. 3 seed Southern Indiana on Saturday in the semifinals of the GLVC Tournament.
The Tritons, who were seeking their second straight tournament championship game appearance, end the season with a 16-3 record. Southern Indiana (16-4) will face the winner of No. 1 Lewis vs. No. 5 Missouri S&T.
How It Happened
- Southern Indiana recorded seven aces and out-blocked the Tritons, 10-6.
- UMSL was limited to .085 hitting, its second lowest figure of the season.
- The Screaming Eagles put up six blocks in the second set, which helped force 12 Triton attack errors in that frame.
