ROMEOVILLE, ILL. – The No. 5 seeded University of Missouri-St. Louis men's soccer team lost a 2-1 double overtime decision at No. 4 seed Lewis on Monday in quarterfinal round action of the GLVC Tournament.
 
The Flyers netted the golden goal 85 seconds into the second overtime.
 
UMSL finishes the season at 7-5-3, while Lewis improves to 9-5-1 and advances to Friday's semifinals.
 
Lewis took a 1-0 lead just three minutes and 12 seconds into the game on a header.
 
The Tritons countered in the 23
rd minute when the Flyers played the ball back to their goalie, who mishandled it. Junior 
Garrett Bass took advantage and put the ball into the net.
 
Lewis finished the game outshooting UMSL, 13-10, including 7-4 in shots on goal. The Tritons had two shot attempts to the Flyers' one in the first overtime, while Lewis got two shots off in the second overtime, including the game-winner.
 
Sophomore 
Tommy Naumann took a team-high three shots for UMSL, while senior 
Anton Mukhin made five saves.
